This release brings several new features to Zeus and also includes an important fix for Time-of-Use tariffs.

Daily Summary gives you one place to see how your energy system performed today — solar production, house consumption, grid import/export, battery support, self-consumption, self-sufficiency, Heat Pump performance and financial value.

Energy Anomalies uses your own Home Assistant Recorder history to learn what is normal for your home. Instead of treating every unusual value as a problem, Zeus looks at the context and distinguishes between observations, things that need attention, and positive events.

I’ve also added Entity Authorities, so you can see exactly which Home Assistant entities Zeus trusts for measurements and controls, including whether Recorder evidence is available.

Control Audit Trail adds accountability for supervised control. Meaningful Zeus control actions can now be recorded together with the authority, evidence and result. Normal high-frequency telemetry is excluded so the audit remains useful.

Daily Opportunity Coordination brings forecast solar, expected house demand, battery state and flexible devices together. Zeus can identify upcoming solar-surplus opportunities without assuming that an available device actually needs to run. It remains recommendation-only.

Important tariff fix

v16.0.132 also fixes an issue where using dynamic pricing could cause a configured Night / Day / Peak Time-of-Use tariff to be replaced by Fixed mode.

If you use Time-of-Use tariffs, please check Finance → Tariffs after updating. If an earlier version already removed your tariff periods, enter them again once and save them. Zeus will now keep the configured tariff separate from calculated/effective pricing.

As always, the idea stays the same: if Zeus doesn’t know it, Zeus shouldn’t invent it.

Feedback and real-world testing are very welcome.

V.T.
