Welcome to AION EMS Zeus

Your energy. Under control.

AION EMS Zeus brings your solar production, battery storage, grid,
household consumption and smart energy devices together in one intelligent energy management system.

Built for Home Assistant, Zeus turns real measurements into clear insights, learns how your home uses energy, and helps you make better use of every watt you produce.

Monitor. Understand. Optimize.

Welcome to AION EMS Zeus — smart energy, intelligently managed.

About AION EMS Zeus

AION EMS Zeus started with a simple idea: a modern home energy system should do more than display numbers. It should help you understand what is happening, learn from real measurements and make better use of the energy your home produces.

Developed by V.T. in Switzerland, Zeus is an independent, open-source Energy Management System built for Home Assistant. The project was created and refined on a real residential energy installation, where solar production, battery storage, grid interaction, heat pumps, domestic hot water, EV charging and household loads all need to work together as one system.

Zeus brings these different technologies into a single energy model. Its Command Center provides a live overview of the home, while dedicated intelligence for Solar, Battery, Heat Pump, DHW, devices and Finance transforms Home Assistant measurements into meaningful information about performance, efficiency, costs and savings.

But Zeus is designed to go beyond monitoring.

Its Smart Control architecture can use real-time conditions and available solar surplus to intelligently manage supported flexible loads while respecting configured limits, priorities and safety rules. The goal is straightforward: consume more of your own energy, reduce unnecessary grid dependence and make every available kilowatt work harder for your home.

A fundamental principle of Zeus is manufacturer independence. Energy systems are rarely built entirely from one brand, and they shouldn’t have to be. Zeus is designed around Home Assistant entities so equipment from different manufacturers can contribute to the same energy-management environment.

The project continues to evolve through real-world testing and feedback from the Home Assistant community. Every new feature is developed with an emphasis on measurable evidence, transparency and practical usefulness rather than proprietary hardware ecosystems.

AION EMS Zeus is not just another energy dashboard.

It is an evolving intelligence and control layer for the modern smart-energy home.

Meet AION EMS Zeus

Intelligent energy management for Home Assistant. Monitor your entire energy system and take control of how your home uses power.

Turn Energy Data Into Insight

Understand production, consumption, battery use, costs and device performance with powerful statistics and intelligent analytics.

Your Energy at a Glance

See solar, grid, battery, household loads, heat pump and water heating together in one live Command Center.

Smart Control That Works for You

Put surplus solar to work automatically with intelligent device control, dynamic power management and built-in safety.

Energy Management

See exactly where your energy comes from and where it goes.
Zeus combines solar production, grid import/export, battery activity and household consumption into one live energy model. Understand self-consumption, self-sufficiency, unknown loads and overall energy balance from a single system.

Battery Intelligence

Understand how your battery supports your home.
Track state of charge, charging and discharging, energy throughput, battery contribution and historical behavior. Zeus can also learn charging patterns and quantify how storage reduces dependence on the grid.

Smart Control

Use surplus energy instead of simply exporting it.
Zeus can supervise controllable devices using live energy conditions, temperatures, priorities and safety limits. Dynamic power control helps direct available solar energy where it provides the most value.

Analytics & Statistics

Turn measurements into information you can actually use.
Explore daily, weekly, monthly and yearly energy performance, historical comparisons, device demand, trends, peaks and system-quality indicators without having to interpret dozens of individual Home Assistant sensors.

Safety & Supervised Automation

Automation should remain measurable, controlled and explainable.
Zeus uses explicit permissions, operating limits, safety evidence and supervised execution before controlling supported devices. Smart control is designed around real measurements rather than blind automation.

Finance & Savings

Turn energy flows into real financial information.
Zeus calculates the value of self-consumed solar energy, grid import costs, export revenue and estimated savings. Compare periods and understand how your energy decisions affect your costs.

Heat Pump Intelligence

Go beyond simply knowing how much electricity your heat pump uses.
Zeus combines electrical consumption, thermal production, COP, compressor activity, temperatures and circuit measurements to provide meaningful insight into heat-pump operation and efficiency.

Device Intelligence

Understand the devices behind your total household consumption.
Register appliances, EV chargers, heat pumps, water heaters and other loads. Zeus measures their contribution, identifies activity and separates known consumption from energy that remains unaccounted for.

Forecasting & Strategy

Look ahead instead of only looking back.
Zeus combines available forecasts with measured system behavior to provide energy outlooks and help identify opportunities for solar utilization, battery strategy and flexible loads.

Command Center

Your complete energy system on one screen.
The Zeus Command Center brings Solar, Grid, Battery, House, Loads, Heat Pump, DHW, weather, system state and important events together in a live visual overview designed for wall displays and everyday monitoring.

Solar Intelligence

Get more value from every kilowatt your PV system produces.
Monitor live and historical solar production, analyze utilization and production patterns, compare performance over time and identify when surplus energy is available for smarter use.

Domestic Hot Water

See where your hot-water energy really comes from.
Zeus separates Heat Pump DHW consumption and thermal generation while supporting independent water-heating devices such as ELWA. Temperature, energy use and heating activity remain clearly distinguishable.

EV Charging

Make electric-vehicle charging part of the complete home energy picture.
Zeus tracks charging activity, power and energy consumption and integrates EV charging into device analytics, timelines and household demand.

Home Energy Timeline

See what happened in your home—and when.
Important energy events are translated into an easy chronological timeline: devices starting and stopping, EV charging, heat-pump activity, water heating and other meaningful changes.

Home Assistant Integration

Built around the system you already have.
Zeus works with Home Assistant entities rather than locking users into one hardware ecosystem. This allows different inverter, battery, heat-pump, EV-charger, meter and smart-device manufacturers to participate in the same energy model.
