This release focuses on reducing Home Assistant Recorder writes without slowing down Zeus Live/Kiosk, and also includes the new Switch Hub Home Assistant Automation workflow.

Change-aware Recorder publishing

The numeric Energy Flow sensors now publish to Home Assistant only when their value actually changes, while keeping:

  • 5-second minimum publish interval
  • 5-minute keepalive for completely stable values
  • no artificial watt deadband
  • fast Zeus core / Live / Kiosk processing unchanged

Real-world testing showed a big reduction for stable sensors.

Example over 30 minutes:

  • House Power: 225 rows
  • Solar Power: 224 rows
  • Battery Power: 55 rows
  • Grid Export: 30 rows
  • Battery Charge: 6 rows
  • EV Power: 6 rows
  • Grid Import: 6 rows
  • Heat Pump: 6 rows
  • Water Heater: 6 rows

Stable sensors therefore dropped to roughly one Recorder state every 5 minutes while changing sensors still preserved real changes.

All tested entities continued to use only 1 unique attribute row.

Switch Hub — Home Assistant Automation

Switch Hub now supports three control methods:

  • Observe only
  • Zeus Control
  • Home Assistant Automation

In Home Assistant Automation mode Zeus calculates the same staged surplus decision but does not operate the switch directly.

Users can generate and review the HA automation YAML inside Zeus, copy it into Home Assistant, and keep full ownership of the automation there.

Switch Hub Timeline

All Switch Hub devices now appear on the Zeus Timeline with START / STOP events using the actual physical switch state.

Works with:

  • Observe only
  • Zeus Control
  • Home Assistant Automation

Included fixes

Also includes all previous fixes for:

  • Recorder attribute deduplication
  • Data Quality recommendation classification
  • Smart-meter-only Today whole-home reconstruction
  • Smart-meter-only TOU Finance
  • Live/Kiosk synchronization
  • go-e real signed pGrid feed every 5 seconds

Thanks again to Colm for the detailed Recorder measurements and to Kaspar for testing the smart-meter-only topology.
