AION EMS Zeus is installed through HACS (Home Assistant Community Store). Once installed, Zeus runs directly inside Home Assistant and uses your existing entities and integrations — no separate server or additional hardware is required.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • A working Home Assistant installation
  • HACS installed and configured
  • Access to your Home Assistant administrator account
  • Your energy devices already connected to Home Assistant where possible

You do not need to configure all your devices before installing Zeus. Additional devices and mappings can be added later.

Step 1 — Add AION EMS Zeus to HACS

Open HACS in Home Assistant and go to Integrations.

Search for:

AION EMS Zeus

If Zeus is not yet available in your HACS search, add the official AION EMS Zeus GitHub repository as a Custom Repository and select Integration as the repository type.

Once added, open AION EMS Zeus in HACS.

Step 2 — Download Zeus

Select the latest stable release and click Download.

For normal installations, always use the latest stable version. Development and pre-release versions are intended only for testing.

Wait until HACS confirms that the download has completed.

Step 3 — Restart Home Assistant

After Zeus has been downloaded, perform a full Home Assistant restart.

Go to:

Settings → System → Restart Home Assistant

Wait for Home Assistant to start completely before continuing.

Step 4 — Add the Zeus Integration

Open:

Settings → Devices & Services

Click:

Add Integration

Search for:

AION EMS Zeus

Select it and follow the setup instructions shown by Home Assistant.

Zeus will create the components and intelligence sensors required for the Energy Management System.

Step 5 — Open Zeus

After setup is complete, open AION EMS Zeus from Home Assistant.

You can now access areas such as:

Command Center · Device Manager · Statistics · Finance · Smart Control · System Status

At this stage it is normal for some information to be unavailable. Zeus still needs to know which Home Assistant entities represent your energy system.

Step 6 — Start Configuring Your Energy System

Begin with the core energy measurements:

Grid → Solar → Battery

Then add the other equipment available in your home:

Heat Pump → Water Heating → EV Charger → Household Devices

You do not need every possible measurement. Zeus uses the information your installation provides and makes additional intelligence available as more measurements are configured.

Existing Home Assistant Configuration

Installing Zeus does not replace your existing Home Assistant Energy Dashboard, devices or integrations.

Zeus builds an additional intelligence and energy-management layer using the Home Assistant entities you already have.

Your existing automations and device integrations remain under your control.

Installation Complete

Once Zeus is installed and your basic energy sources are connected, continue with the rest of the AION EMS Zeus Setup Guide to configure your individual devices and verify the complete energy flow.

Welcome to AION EMS Zeus.

Connect your energy. Understand your home. Take control.
